Authorities in Saudi Arabia have prolonged the suspension of operations at King Khalid International Airport until this Saturday. This decision follows a series of aerial attacks attributed to Yemen-based forces aligned with Iran, which have disrupted air travel over the capital. Consequently, several airlines have been forced to cancel their scheduled flights to and from the facility, which serves as the country's second-busiest aviation hub. Officials stated that the extended closure is a necessary measure to implement safety protocols and protect passengers amidst the current regional instability. The airport will remain non-operational while security procedures are finalized to mitigate risks posed by the ongoing hostilities.
