Guyana's Vice President Bharrat Jagdeo has issued a stern warning to the People’s Progressive Party/Civic and the People’s National Congress Reform regarding their long-term viability. According to Jagdeo, both major political organizations face the threat of becoming obsolete if they do not modernize their strategies. He emphasized that the younger generation of voters is increasingly distancing itself from historical racial divisions that have long characterized the nation's political landscape. Consequently, the Vice President urged these parties to prioritize the cultivation of public trust and foster greater cooperation. Failure to acknowledge these shifting societal attitudes and adapt to the expectations of new electors could lead to the eventual decline of these established political entities.
