During cross-examination on Wednesday, Aneal Giddings, the former Information Technology Manager for the Guyana Elections Commission, testified that he disregarded a direct command from Roxanne Myers, the Deputy Chief Election Officer at the time. Giddings was instructed to vacate the Ashmin’s Building while the controversial March 2020 election results were being processed. Instead, he stayed at the facility alongside Paul Persaud. Giddings conceded that he remained in the building without any supervision while having access to the Statements of Poll (SoPs). This admission sheds further light on the circumstances surrounding the disputed tabulation process that followed the 2020 general and regional elections in Guyana.
